Six node cluster w/one hard drive

About 5 years ago, maybe more, I constructed a computer cluster with six nodes with one node booting from a hard drive and running TFTP, DHCP, and NFS to provide PXE Boot services and NFS root for the other five nodes. After using the system for a couple of years I started parting it out to build computers for my nieces and nephews.

Recently I started upgrading the computers for my nieces and nephews and had all the original hardware for the cluster. So I decided to reviv . . . . . .

I'm planning on using my bicycle more since I'm spending a lot of time sitting on my butt and I really need some exercise but I need my exercise to be more purposeful than just sweating and keeping in shape.

So along with riding my bicycle more I plan on using the bicycle as my grocery getter when I need to make a quick trip to the shop for small purchases.

To make this possible I needed a rack to pack the goods and I wasn't impressed with the storage capacity of the cheap rear bicycle rac . . . . . .

RS232 serial port button hack.

Years ago I put together a small computer to play Ogg Vorbis encoded music files in my truck. Part of the project included a bit of a hack to incorporate a serial port button pad to control the XMMS player. The web site that hosted the article on the project is long gone but I thought there might be some interest in the hack that was used.
